Disease
I didn't care if you were contagious, because I liked the way it burned.
Intoxicated by the pain,
and addicted to concern.
Dancing with the devil,
in a gasoline soaked suit.
Fire licking at my heels,
as I succumbs to infection too.
Epidemic overrides me,
as I lets go of all I treasures.
When the parasite succeeds,
I took to desperate measures.
This contagion has become,
a personal death connoisseur.
Temptation proved to great,
I finally opened the door.
It's kind of beautiful isn't it,
something as insignificant as disease,
Can suffocate your soul,
and bring you to your knees.
My demise was not admirable,
it was neither brave nor courageous.
And even after all the pain,
I still wouldn't care that your contagious.
