Royal Blue
Two feet in and we're standing
In the frigid blue water
The lulling of waves calls us
Something from the deep of the sea
Beckons us closer
Sand floor beneath us
Icy water latches to our skin
Waist deep now
There's no turning back
Cold surges through our veins
But somehow we keep walking
Until we're wading
Engulfed by royal blue
The numbness seeps in
Filtrating our bodies
A wave of relief
And we are one
With the ocean
