Standstilll
Fire leaves
Air I can taste on my
tongue the bitter
sweet taste of autumn.
divinely-placed cotton ball clouds.
my nursery walls.
leaves jump towards my feet,
ballet
but then pass me
it isn't me they want.
so crisp so clear
can i freeze the earth right here,
rightnow,
so that the world is perpetually fall?
I sigh
lips blowing together
a raspberry that my mommy placed on my tummy
all those years ago
and i realize
still and standing, middle of the sidewalk
that if time stood still
stood still
the price of moving on would become lesser than
the joy of those raspberries,
sweet things plopped in-between those
dark moments.
