The grip that life has on me I can not explain The night brings tears and the day brings pain, The mask I put on to hide how I feel is necessary to push away all that seems surreal, My life is like a book judged only on the outside by what’s seen but nobody cares to understand the pages in between, My life is like an ocean that is what Ive been thinking some days are calm and silent some days I feel I’m sinking, I am like a floor like a rock solid ground because I support people but still get walked on all around, I am like a necklace Ill make you look good at least Ill try but when I’m no longer needed I just get tossed aside, I am like a judge I do what I feel is best but when someone needs something I am used just like the rest, My life is like a water slide a dark tunnel with light at the end I will be happy someday but for now Ill just pretend.
