The moon is the universal plagiarizer
Mooching off the sun's inexorable, unimaginable light

"Here," says the moon when the sun has hidden,
"I will light your lacking world with a glorious, white-hot glow that only I can provide."

Yet the dishonest moon still leaves me speechless
At the sight of its singular wonder
its awe-inspiring, humbling gaze

Isn't it funny how an illusion can be so beautiful?

The author's comments:
One night I caught a glimpse of the moonlight and this wonderful thought came to me: What an exquisite liar the moon really is.
