People on the Side of the Street

Drop out to sing like an artist,
those days are far and long gone.
Sitting here on the side of the street,
working my ass off to make ends' meat.
Wait to see what the next day will bring,
life turns to oblivion so what's the point.
Can't kick these thoughts from my head,
do I eat or drink or pay a month's rent?
See what this life entails,
entertaining phonies 'till you can't get air.
