Well, that's a little dramatic.

Thirteen wakes as thirteen sleeps,
Thirteen suffers as thirteen weeps,
Thirteen promises as thirteen lies,
Thirteen lives as thirteen dies,
Thirteen brings these thirteen chances,
Thirteen is the enemy and thirteen advances,
Thirteen is fire to burn the worlds fingers,
Thirteen rots and thirteen lingers,
Thirteen is your deepest fears,
Thirteen screams and boils your tears,
Thirteen is the dark to threaten all light,
Thirteen, the moon that ends the night,
Thirteen is what the world forgot,
Thirteen is what twelve is not.

The author's comments:
This piece was written by the hand of a clearly over dramatic 12 year old who was only a few days away from turning 13 at the time. I guess I was scared of what that age would bring, which I now realize was kinda stupid, I mean it's not like you wake up on your birthday automatically older than you were before, but when I was 12, turning 13 was a massive deal. Big enough to warrant a poem, anyway.

Pretty cool, I liked this a lot. It flowed really nicely, and the words just seemed to fit. Great job, I hope I get to read some more stuff by you :)
