Not Like You
I may look tough,
or act like you,
to be the same,
it’s really true.
I sometimes lie,
or laugh at jokes,
that normally.
I would provoke,
I smile at things,
because others do,
and all the time,
I copy you.
you talk of boys,
and so do I,
if you do it,
I will try.
you gossip,
mock,
and laugh at me
although it hurts
I mustn't be,
like other girls,
you laugh about,
who cry and whine,
and are cast out.
although I seem ,
just like you,
that statement,
isn't entirely true,
I may have faked,
I may have lied,
but deep deep down,
is another side.
A fun loving side,
with love and care,
who reads loads of books,
and always shares,
who plays the flute,
and piano too,
so, no my friend,
I'm not like you.
