The world goes on to exist
with or without our quiet little voices
Do you remember when I came into the world
as the light began to fade from the day?
I feel I can't believe
existence begins and ends all the time
while more of it grows wild or weary
with the coming of age
If today's the best it ever gets for me
it will be enough
To see the storms passed and miracles
we can't be sure happened
There is everything for us
every shade from darkness to light
After we've soaked them up
drunk them in
the image appears
daring us to move into the next frame
We can change them
and with clarity rearrange them
so as to find the next once upon a time
to follow after the next ever after
