The Little Things
I can’t help notice the beauty
 in the uneven branches,
the loose string on a worn towel,
 the wrinkles on old hands
or in a tee shirt thrown carelessly
 on the ground.
My mom telling me to pick it up,
 but it is so perfect
 like ripples in water,
 the wind in the trees,
 a bush, half dead,
 half blooming,
an orange leaf in a forest
 of green,
 the odd one out
or the one that changes the world.
 For life is
 a perfect imperfection.
