I Walk Alone On A White Beach
I walk alone on a white beach,
carefree,
with my bare feet sinking ankle deep in warm comforting sand
only to realize its quicksand once I’m six feet under
and there’s no way out,
no way home,
no light in this suffocating darkness,
no end to a life that can so easily be ended
by simply letting go all the colors in my stained glass eyes;
how I yearn to walk in the light
and see the light burst in my eyes and illuminate the world
but until then…
