"Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks" Luke 6:45

I'm just a lost soul whose last go made him feel jaded
That all put together in this life to a bird of a feather
Fly into life's storms and bad weather and have his old life traded
Go into a lost isle, a triangle, come out battered, torn, and severed

Fearless to naught, find comfort bought through sacrifice
Widow the happiness by neglect laughterless until the afterlife
Watch the rainbow glimmer and shatter, rain pours, shadows dimmer, it doesn't matter
Will you take this hand and reflect, squeeze a little and protect me from this strife?

Will you tilt your hat at the gentlemen reaper, tell him to go, "protect me, my keeper"
Will you keep me dry when the clouds burst wide and dump their cringing tears?
Do you wish to extinguish my burning bridges, relinquish me from that churning visage?
Do you wish to pick me up when I've fallen, push back the walls when they're closin'?

Who are you, my mystery fellow? That comes and goes like a wind burst bellow
Who are you to do as much and require nothing back? That gives and smiles with a loving knack
Why do you heal the broken, those who've abandoned hope and curse the very name you've spoken
Why do you remain loyal when our heads turn thrice in denial? When we capture the crown and make kings of ourselves in obvious betrayal

A heart cannot be so pure! An astral entity that denies demure!
What is this? A protector up high, that absolves our sorrows, I decry:
Believe in something greater, we are kings of earth by our creator, rule the lands and protect her shores, called to action while the sin pours
Follow something unseen, close your eyes even when darkness feeds, step true and you'll make it through, have faith and be renewed.
