Sometimes
Sometimes I try to call you,
In the middle of the night,
Hoping you’ll pick up,
And say everything’s all right.
Sometimes I look through pictures,
We’d taken through the years,
But each one makes me sadder,
And they all bring back the tears.
Sometimes I sit and wonder,
If you ever think of me,
But I probably shouldn’t fool myself,
With thoughts of what will never be.
Sometimes I don’t know what to think,
And I just start to cry,
I know I should be happy by now,
But I’m not and don’t know why.
