Time Whisper
Time.
They say that it flies,
But I've never seen it with wings.
They say there's not enough of it in a day,
But I think there's too much of it.
Time.
They say it mends all hearts.
But how come mine has yet to be mended?
Time.
Why is it the answer to their problems?
I've always concluded it's because they're waiting.
Waiting until their problems turn to dust.
Time.
You're sitting there waiting to hear the ticks of the clock,
But maybe the ticks of the clock are waiting to hear you.
Time.
It is such a bitter punishment.
Time.
It is such a passionate torture that resonates its way down
to my soul.
Time.
It is the cruelest form of discipline.
Time.
