They say to write
But what if I'm wrong?
I need a darkroom to develop
My thoughts but someone else's light
Has derailed my train of thought
So that it careens into the deep end
But somehow I'm still floating.
I'm longing to go deeper because
They say heavy memories sink and
The water is running a 5K
And you're not drinking enough,
But somehow you're still drowning.
