There's a certain heat that lies beneath,
the truth and all it's accessories..
You can hide, but all your cries bellow, and are heard through your tightly clenched teeth.
But refusal to what hits you hard, is acceptance of a fantasy.
you cant look for the sun, if you sit to where the suns to shy to ever reach.
And darkness swallows us as whole, at one point, and immerses us waist deep.
And im the one that can't get out because i scream and yet still i cannot see.
His love like velvet, but his touch exists only by sleep
Disguised-my eyes, heart hidden from ties, and looking just to forever break free.
He's here to steal my heart, if ever God my soul to keep,
if love ties me down- sewed at the seams, in intoxicating alcohol induced dreams...
release me, unhand me, and let me cry in fear alone.
A beast in your eyes, i scare you with every part of me...but this part shall remain unknown.
Because i wish i were the beautiful creature that you always hoped for and dreamed...
but to lie, is to lie awake each moment...and realize that beautiful...i could never be deemed...

I wrote this piece because I hated knowing that the person I was in love with, saw something so beautiful inside me- and when I looked in the mirror...I had no clue what they saw.
