the supposed day of love
a day of desperation
what day do I speak of
why of course
Valentine’s Day
a drag in the minds of many
a scam to buy chocolates, flowers
and not to forget the pile of Hallmark cards
though I may not agree
it’s a worldwide holiday
and be pretty hard to rid
so let it be known that a love quite so
special tender and bliss
should be shown every day
