Wasted Wishes
I remember
 the magical
 p

 of a dandelion;
 how I wished for
 petty things
 like
 that new dress...
 or a new doll, maybe...
 or that I, too,
 could be a
 princess
 someday.

 Now, I simply
 watch
 other little ones and
 think
 to myself
 that they are just
 wasting
 wishes,
 fragments
 of
 childhood
 blown away
 and
 spent thoughtlessly.

 If I had
 just
 one
 wish,
 I would want
 to be the responsible
 one
 and do something
 about this
 hellish
 world
 we live in.

 What would you choose?
