we can't win, can we?

You make me want to give you the world,
But the world is what is stopping us.
You make me want to do a dance,
But I don't dance.
You make me want to get out of town,
But leaving you would hurt so bad.
You make me want to believe in "forever,"
But I don't have faith in that anymore.
You make me want to be happy
But a smile can hide so much.
You make me the luckiest girl in the world,
But I know that it can't be me.
