We are only kids
tricked into the abyss of fire
as kernals of sweat
run miles down the spine
“push forward”
“keep moving”
“one more step”
my baby skin
glows baby pink
emanating unreal heat
like a solar furnace
scorched waves
and dancing flames
spark my metallic surface
unrelenting
We are only kids
deceived into the depths
of inferno fire
where we do not belong
yet we still endure
