nothing
but lilac scent
gripping the edges of
my skirt
the sweetness of sweat
dripping down
temples
and
shoelaces
flying through the
musty, sable air
consuming
devouring
the thoughts that twirl
and leap like ebony
ink splattering my mind
parallel to myself
leading
guiding
intertwining
because even shadows
get lost in the starless night
when I can only feel myself
everything
and
nothing
