The leaf clung
To the almighty tree
Through wind
And water
And ice with thee
One day
The tree wanted
To test the leaf
To see if he
Was as almighty as she
She swayed in the wind
Testing testing
The leaf clung
With all it's might
But the tree did not stop
Testing testing
And the leaf
Did not have enough fight
For the leaf
Wasted all it's energy
Fighting for the tree
The tree
Wasted all it's energy
Testing the leaf
The leaf was deserving
As the tree did not know
She was clouded by doubt
Now cold and alone in the snow
