I surrender
Surrender to your gaze,
to your softening blows and
Overwhelming love
Do you mean what you say?
Are your words truth or lie?
Friend or foe?
Flora or fauna?
Why would you lie to me?
For the same reasons that I lie to myself?
I love the way you look at me,
With that maddening love that is
driving me to the edge
I love the way you say my name
Like it is beautiful simply because it is mine
I hate the way I can never forget you,
but forgiving is all too easy
You drive me to the edge of insanity,
but wasn't I already there?
