Awake
I wake up
It's not like the groggy mornings
 That I'm so tired of
 No, I'm finally awake
 You wake me up
I never saw reality so clearly
My eyes aren't glazed over from lies
 The fog has cleared
And all I see is you
But I'm not blind to the world
You help me see the world
 In a different light
 For once it feels real
 For once I grasp love
 Holding it in my hand
Instead of jumping into the sky for it
Instead of desperately clinging for it
My brain and heart are in sync
 I know what I want
 I know what I need
 And they are one
 I want you
 I need you
 Like I want the sun
 Like I need the sun
Reality has never been so blissful
 It's never been so
 Real
 I've never looked at tomorrow
 The way I do now
I used to look at it with dread
And once, when I was blind
I saw it only as perfection
 Like nothing could go wrong
Now I know anything could go wrong
But if it does you'll still be there
You'll hold my hand until it's over
I can face anything with you
You can't stop it from happening
 But you can stay
 If you leave
I don't think reality would exist anymore
 It would come
 Crashing
