Find Me My Lake
Once I dreamed about a place,
where kids would run about, and chase.
A lake where the water gleamed like gems,
where flowers blossomed from the stems.
In the day, the lake showed its grace,
but when night fell, the water echoed space.
As the sun would set, and invite twilight,
a white sphere would appear, and reflect its moonlight.
The space was quiet, a sanctuary to few,
the lake was loved, by those who knew.
Deep in a forest, behind thousands of trees,
was the beautiful lake that let off a sweet breeze.
Although this sight may never be found,
I will not let this dream, stay tied on the ground.
One day, maybe, I’ll find my dream,
and go back to sleep, down by the stream.
