The Ever-Growing Tree

We are the forest

Together in unity but apart in individuality
like the branches of an ancient tree

Flowing continuously through our obstacles and housing life with abundance
like the currents of a rapid river

Supporting each other at the greatest of heights through the aging of time
like the sides of a steep mountain

Holding a great and potential power which origins are from the infinite source of love
like the creatures of the forests

And as the cabin inside our little forest watches over the forest's unity, so does our household stay warm with love.

The author's comments:
Family is an important unit whose dynamics are essential in our life. When my father got married I was asked to contribute to the wedding. In honor of my father and new family, I wrote this poem to express my thoughts on a stable family. To me a family is based on love in order to be strong and capable. Despite my dislike to my new family, I learned to accept them.
