a tree

a tree
all alone
surrounded by prairie
a field of dry grass
the heat of sun great
turning the sandy soil into glass
a fire starts
the tree cannot flee
its roots bound into earth
fire cackles at the trees fear
then as mother nature favors
it began to rain
rained to heavily
the fire cackles no more
a tree
all alone
surrounded by prairie
a field of green grass
