"Little Miss Happy Me"
Everyone has some kind of problem
whether you are an adult or just a child
So maybe everyone's problem is
not being able to see though others
Yes, Yes, I'm always happy
I don't hear the jokes, right?
I do not hear how they talk of my hair
and the shaggy clothes that I dress in
So you try putting yourself in to my shoes. Go on.
You do not think I can hear you talking
because I do not pay you any mind.
Acting so happy around everyone
to only go home and to cry.
But every morning I will get up and put on my smile, my fake smile.
Then I'll get ready for the day and head out the door.
And on the bus I get pushed around and I do not pay the any mind.
Only pretend it was an accident
and that I don't mind.
You try putting yourself in my position just one time,
so you can experience the terrible feeling I get when you say things about me.
Not to my face, but behind my back instead.
So maybe everyone has a problem
no matter if you're an adult or child.
So maybe that's my problem.
People being unable to see,
right through Little Miss Happy me.
