does it drape inside of us like the curtains covering a window?
and scream instead of us like whispers in her ears
as it trickles through us like a leaking pipe
it devours the dragon slayer when he is about to make a stand
and it creeps up into us to tickling us with billowy black smoke crawling throughout our body, it aches with disappointment
as we become vulnerable to the pain and the hurt
too worried as we swerve through life we will crash
as the waves in the distance call out but are forced to curl and pull back
we are too buy being afraid that the restless wind will whip and cut us
showering what lays beneath with our cowardly blood
we run from the looming terror but it trips us and we fall
is it all worth it? should we really be afraid?
are the heavy mistakes we could make compelling us to sink
we are in a hurry to run when maybe we should just stay
have you ever thought of trying to contain what lies inside?
since its all these lies which are making us traumatized...
maybe its all the hits we've taken which will make us become the next hit
we are made to fight and not back down
what is it that we want?
we have to follow through with our path and swerve around the many cracks
but it is OK to trip and fall sometimes
what if MLK had bowed down to what he was scared of?
we are in a hurry to run, when maybe we should just stay
are we really forgetting the real enemy?
because it seems to me that now no one seems to remember that the only thing we should really fear, is fear itself
