Love, Make, Create, Care,
A father’s words should not scare.

But cry as you may do,
Because what does a father mean to you.

What does it mean to be a father?
An unknown answer may be a bother.

But everyday a man becomes a dad,
But it is up to that dad to be what he never had.

Protect their child filled of hope and possibilities,
Endless love should not be a responsibility.

But what is love without action,
Four letters make a sound, but no reaction.

Love, Make, Create, Care,
A father’s words should not scare.

But cry as you may do,
Because what does a father mean to you.

What does it mean to be a father?
Endless devotion to making a smile go farther.

Creating tears of laughter, not of despair,
A peace can not be reached in disrepair.

A crack, a break, a fragile frame,
Be a man to your young dame.

Accept the fault in your anger,
Do not allow yourself to become a stranger.

Love, Make, Create, Care,
A father’s words should not scare.

But cry as you may do,
Because what does a father mean to you.

My relationship with my father is currently fragmented, having good and bad days. I encourage all children and all fathers to try to create an unbreakable bond.
