Heavy eyelids come to rest
My mind not yet asleep
The world begins to slip away
I fall into my dreams
The cityscape of my subconscious
Alice with vibrant fervor
In this place I can only watch
A silent dream observer

I wrote this piece after having a string of vivid dreams. I found myself intrigued with the notion of dreaming and explored this through my 8 lines of free verse.
