To My Father
All structures need foundations.
A tree would fall without its roots.
Bodies wouldn’t be able to stand straight without legs.
And for 16 years, you’ve taught me
to work hard and be practical.
If I looked outside and saw a pedestal holding a statue,
it would remind me of you.
I guess what I am trying to say is,
I am thankful for your support.
