When I Look At Her
When I look at her.
I see happiness.
Like a flower. A four leaf clover.
That I wish I could keep forever.
Small, and delicate. Treasured in it’s precious form.
When I look at her.
I see beauty.
Her eyes like her mother.
A dark complexion like her father.
Preciousness in her smile.
When I look at her.
I see love.
A blessing that changes hearts.
A joy that pleases minds.
A child that doesn’t know how much she changes worlds.
When I look at her.
I see my past.
All the tears and the trials are worth it.
All the dark clouds and days mean nothing.
And meaning is brought to everything that was once misunderstood.
When I look at her.
I see my future.
I see life in the smallest of people.
I see reason. My life’s new purpose.
I see a gift from the heaven’s above.
And as I look at her.
I smile at my daughter.
And my heart is filled with wonder.
And with prayer to my heavenly father.
I thank my God above.
