I Found a Way
I find myself in the eyes of others,
staring through me, preserving each moment.
I find myself when I’m alone,
reflecting on who I am and what I wish to become.
I find myself when I am lost,
and later find in what I had been searching for.
I find myself at night,
when silence overcomes the sleeping world.
I find myself in times of need,
knowing wellness is just around the corner.
I find myself being careless,
and not worrying about the next chapter.
I find myself through laughter,
and all the hysterical causes for it.
I find myself growing older,
yet wanting to stay forever youthful.
I find myself when I make mistakes,
and use them as lessons later on.
I find myself with the waking of each day,
and reminding myself that the best has yet to come.
I find myself in summer,
sensing the warmth of the beating sun.
I find myself in music,
by allowing time to pass into sound.
I find myself with friends,
and the inner person they bring out in me.
I find myself through the days that pass,
knowing that I will never get them back.
