The Little Things
The sand on my feet,
The smell of salt air,
Ice cream- cold and sweet,
The sunshine’s bright glare.
Breaks and the weekend,
Last bell of the day,
When there’s time to spend,
Summer’s here, hooray!
Sunny and ninety,
Sandals every day.
Go out and feel lively,
No days cold and gray.
Summer night, time to chill.
A perfect bike ride,
Hamburgers on the grill,
With fruit on the side.
Laugh loud, til it hurts,
Tell a joke or two.
Favorite concert,
With a perfect view.
Rainy days spent in,
A big thunderstorm.
Running outside when,
Sun to rain it transforms.
Vacation time, yes!
Time for adventure,
At a new address,
Where will we venture?
It’s time to explore,
All over the place,
Little time to snore,
Go from sea to space.
In a whole lifelong,
It’s the little things
That keep you strong
There’s no time to waste,
So enjoy, have fun!
You can say you faced,
Life and you won.
