Mona Lisa
Behind Mona Lisa,
was a burden.
Mona Lisa had laughed at da Vinci’s paintings,
and deeply hurt him.
Da Vinci loved her,
so it be true:
When she wanted to leave him,
it was extremely cruel.
She was da Vinci’s true love.
He dreamt of her in his sleep,
so when she laughed at his paintings,
he would hide away as he gently weeps.
All he wanted was to make her happy,
but happy she was not,
she thought his paintings were foolish,
over his craftsmanship they fought.
Although they made money,
she continued to titter.
Her heart was cold,
and she was bitter.
She never smiled,
besides at da Vinci’s new art.
So he came up with a plan,
which was quite bold and smart.
He painted yet another picture
of a woman with no grin.
Why it was Mona Lisa,
and she never laughed again.
