Driving

I’m driving as fast as I can go
Past the small trees
As the dust is flying by
With the top down

I’m invincible
Looking to my left
And seeing the horizon go by
Twist, turns, no traffic
I can’t be hurt
I’m untouchable

My car is glowing
Just one open road
No speed limit and no distractions
Then I awake, in my bedroom
So dark, just lying in bed
As I ponder my future

I wrote this after i got my permit and drove my Dad's convertible car and thought how fun it would be to just cruise on an open road.
