Falling Change

I feel like everything is changing
and I'm afraid
I can't
keep up
I guess I knew high school was going to change me
change my life
but I'm not sure
I'm not sure I'm ready.
Leaves are starting to fall
outside
I's getting colder
outside
This happens every year
of course
but this time it feels different
it feels like my life
is this big oak tree
and everything's changing colors
and falling
and I'm falling
I'm falling too

The author's comments:
I wrote this at the beginning of my freshman year of high school, I was going through I time of change. A time where I didn't quite know who I was or where I fit, I was a little lost and this was new for me.
