Concerning the House Around the Corner
Tall, bold, and brown
The house stood on its foundation
From the outside
It was a mythic place that-
No one from the outside could understand,
It could contain lies,
Treasure,
Stories,
Tales,
Regrets,
Decisions,
Struggles,
Pain,
Remorse,
Reverence,
Solemnity,
Peace,
Hatred,
Disgust,
Enmity,
Or it could just be a house.
A hollow house that nobody lives in;
That nobody would bother to investigate.
