You were the night fall.
You put me in the dark,
Hid me in the shadows.
A lonely world I was left,
Quite and tired.
All I wanted was to be your sunrise.
Kiss your freckled face,
Warm your heart.
Brighten up our world.
But instead,
You kept me in the dark.
And I stayed.
Because those stars,
Twinkling in your eyes,
Were bright enough for me.
