Who I Am
I’m the girl that society outcasts
Outcasted for the thoughts in my mind
The thoughts which society placed
Too bad they don’t know
That those thoughts are slowly killing me
Only because they can’t see
Who I really am
I’m the girl that is always quiet
The one who sits alone
For the fear of being ridiculed
Ridiculed for the scars on my wrists
Scars caused by their lies
Lies that are consuming me
I’m the girl that cries herself to sleep
Who wants to end it all
Because society does not care
To see behind my mask
To notice that their words hurt
I’m the girl that is real
Not fake like society wants
For this is why they’ll never see
The girl behind the mask
For that girl behind the mask
Is who I really am
