Reflections
Chaos and miracles
Created my life
Not just in the universe absorbed by my grey shallow pools painted by all the fury of the oceans
But the universe is colored by my mind
Protected by a wall of sunlit hair that tangles in a hysterical war
Against the wind and gravity
Only to fall in glorious defeat across slightly tan skies laced with constellations of freckles
And sadness scars
Lips pool the tides of the words that pour out the dancing ideals of innocence with the spring
A transparent glow protects my war torn arms
And runs down towards the exit for galaxies of thought
That race to define miles of eyelashes and bitten fingernails
Curves and hills mapped by boys who knew nothing of the soul running through my veins
Under skin never bothered by the rain
And even though mirrors want to hate me
My body is pure poetry
