suburbia summers
heat haze in the morning
suspended in the moment
stone cold houses in rows
with the green grass lawns
withering when the clock strikes noon
vacant afternoons
jade the masses
helios hugging horizon
reborn into the night
too cliche with the lights
and symphonies and essence
but how sweet it is
summer in the suburbs.
