Reap What You Sow
1. You reap what you sow.
Life’s first cry, a mother and father’s loving caress, so the seeds are planted and the journey begins. Observation brings curiosity to the young life, sitting on the edge of my future.
Do we actually remember moments or are they just photographs we remember?
5. Age three my memory is my older brother being dipped in the sea of mercy; I pondered the Christian walk.
Time went on and the question was, am I following what my parents want me to and what I hear every Sunday, or am I following what I believe in?
Eight was the number of years it took for me to bow my head and pray that prayer that gave me 10. eternal freedom. Led not by a parent but by a teacher. The first step is not always the hardest. Growing like a weed, but stunted in my Christian growth because I was petrified and cringed in my seat when I heard about the horn being blown and every knee bowing at His return.
Time grew older as well as I, The Word could be nutrition for my soul if I allowed it.
Some days I was stuffed and other days starving. Hungry for His grace which is known to be
15. sufficient.
Head knowledge or heart knowledge, I felt what I should do or say, but my head disagreed. Following the Christian lifestyle not always so easy especially surrounded by Christians. Perfection is not attainable. The more years that build up, the sensitivity to sin is torn down, peers, television, computers, it all competes for my attention.
20.It is a struggle but I try to focus on those many seeds that were planted and fertilized over many years by many people. Focus on what is good, pure, right, noble and just and I will feel the joy of His presence. I find inspiration in Galations 6:7- Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Three years left until the next chapter in my life, a lot can happen in this time, the choice is mine 25. on how I will spend it. God is not looking for perfection but perseverance.
