The New Black

May 28, 2014

Fake is the new black
It’s worn by everyone you see
It may be just because I’m in high school
Or maybe it’s just me in general
But lately it seems like everyone I see
Are simply portraits of one another
Replications
The world I live in is losing its sense of originality
There is no boldness, no imagination
You can call us
The clone generation

What inspired me to write this is that lately my friends have become replicas of the people we used to make fun of and it bothered me so writing this poem let me say how I feel.
