Delight
Awakening to pitter-patters, I stand
By my window and watch rain fall
On thirsty ground, lapping it up
As cloudy skies delight me.
Donning poncho and boots, I run
Outdoors, rejoicing in rain and
Feeling drops tapping my face
As cloudy skies delight me.
Seeing plants and flowers arise,
I perceive their new playfulness.
Wet trees gleam, and I laugh
As cloudy skies delight me.
