You can't ever give up, it's like an unsigned contract
Once you're on that stage, you look at the crowd and give it all you have.
Use every drop of energy you have, because you can't back down.
Give them attitude, be cocky, show 'em what we can do.
You have to leave it all on the mat, that's just you.
Think technique, entertain, be clean, and have fun!

Show them that competitive cheerleading is a sport no doubt
Perform for you, that same little girl who fell in love with the sport.
Hit! Hit! Pull! We could go all night! You have to be strong
This is your team and family! Results, not excused! Put up a fight!
Look past those bright lights, and wink at the judges, you know you didn't give up.
There's no giving up in this sport, do you need to sign a contract?

The sport of competitive cheerleading is my life. I decided to write a poem of advice from a coach, to a cheerleader.
