Finally I was up to serve, it was time to shine
The game was in my hands as I walked back to the line.
The referee tossed me the ball and I began to shake.
My head started to spin and my hand ache.
Even though my coach encouraged me, his face seemed unsure.
The pressure was bigger than I endure
The rival team stared at me; I knew they wanted me to fail.
I begin to doubt that my hit would prevail.
The ball hit the net as my team's spirit fell.
My opponent rejoices but they were stopped by a yell.
Coach Pelliser screamed with joy like he won a lottery ticket, but West team was still upset.
They didn't notice that the ball pass the net.
We won, thanks to me and my team, felt sublime.
I was the hero for the first time.
