He was the one
He was going to by mine,
but he took a step back.
He left me to my dreams,
and he drove off in the car.
I sat there by the bench,
staring as the leaves fell off my tree,
as a waterfall fell to the sand,
as I looked at the pictures of just him and me.
He was gone from my garden of Eden.
Silence was all I had.
He had always made me promises,
he was always there for me,
he was all I wanted.
He was going to be mine,
but I didn't speak.
I broke my own heart.
