Pure White Light
I wish to be a light for others
The battle isn’t over
The darkness is not the end
I want to be a pure white light.
Black of night surrounds you
The walls seem to be closing in
Pitch-black shades of a thousand midnights
Can be defeated by hope and faith
I want to be a pure white light.
White as a baby’s baptism gown
Pure, stainless living cloth
White as a flying morning dove
Soaring in the unregulated sky
White and clean as a repented soul
Tainted with sin and then reborn
I can be your pure white light.
Black swarms over you like a typhoon wave
Striking you down, knocking you off your feet
Gray destroys you, making you feel worthless
But white will restore you making you invincible
Beating life’s challenges with a glistening golden sword
I am here to guide you on life’s treacherous journey
I am here to be your pure white light.
